Undergraduates:

We accept undergraduates during the academic year from any department at UCSD/SIO. Preference is given to freshman, sophomores, and juniors who are interested in working in the lab for at least two years. Summer students should contact Dr. Lyons directly, and may also apply through programs such as the Scripps Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF): https://scripps.ucsd.edu/undergrad/surf, or the UCSD PATHS program (https://paths.ucsd.edu), and or the UCSD STARS (https://grad.ucsd.edu/diversity/programs/stars/index.html) program.
